If you will be staying longer and prefer an apartment or a house, we can set you up with apartment locators or realtors and arrange for the connection of your utilities (gas, electricity, telephone and water). We can familiarize you and your family with the various appliances and equipment in your home or advise you on the use of your own appliances at a different voltage.
We can introduce you to the area's various entertainment and cultural offerings, such as: theater, concerts, museums, sports events, dinner engagements, parties, restaurants, vacation, etc. We will even arrange trips and set up outings for you.
We will make certain that you and your family are able to get around Houston. IRU International Resources Unlimited will familiarize you with: grocery stores, churches, furniture stores, restaurants, drugstores, hair salons, clothing stores, schools, and sports facilities. If there is a language problem, we would be delighted to translate for you during your visits to such locales. We can register your children at area public or private schools for the coming school year. We can help you and your children with the transition to a new school system.
We will accompany you if you need verbal or written assistance with: passport renewal, customs clearance, application for driver's license (applicants will need to take the exam themselves), application for social security number, car purchase (title, insurance, and registration), house purchase (realtors, attorneys, bank), and other essential matters.
